Kwennjurat, Part II

My new book, The Siege of Kwennjurat, is officially published, and I feel like celebrating. Today, I’m giving away a signed copy of my new book. Here’s how to enter:

Making a comment on the blog gets you one entry. If you’re a blog follower, say so for a second entry. Tweeting and sharing to Facebook or Google+ are worth one entry each (post a link to where you shared in your comment). First thing tomorrow morning, I will put all the entries in a hat and draw a winner. I’ll announce the winner, then they can email me their real name and address, and their signed book will be on the way!

Some people have been waiting three and a half years since the publication of Tanella’s Flight to find out “the rest of the story”. In your comments today, tell me about the longest wait you had to endure. Thanks for playing. See you tomorrow with today’s winner, and happy reading!

  1. The longest wait I've had has also been for books and is part of the reason I prefer reading finished series. I started reading the Song of Ice and Fire series in 2002. Finished the first three and couldn't wait for the next. It ended up being a 3 year wait. He also decided to split the last book into two books, so another wait started for the final book. Just when I was ready to give up, it came out 6 years later. Another announcement came out too. This wouldn't be the last. There will be at least two more. I almost didn't read it out of frustration, but I couldn't resist after my husband bought it. Who knows if the series will ever be done, but after 10 years of reading a series, I will keep waiting for the next.

    1. My longest waits have also been either for books or movies. I think the only thing more frustrating than being a reader who thinks you've come to the end of a series, only to discover that you haven't, is being a writer in the same situation. It took 13 years for Tanella's Flight to be ready for publication, and another three for The Siege of Kwennjurat. I thought I had told all the stories in this arena, and was going to take my map down today, on Launch Day. Night before last I had a dream about another character who is now starting to give me hints on her story. She wants it told. I guess I'd better keep my map up a while longer...

    2. I can't be mad at Mr. Martin for long, he writes too well. ;) I'm sure your readers feel the same way. Congratulations on your new book, btw! I received my book today and I can't wait to read it.

  2. I am a big Stephen King fan...so I think its great after 34 years he is writing the sequel to The Shining. When Dr Sleep comes out I will be sure to look for it! Can't say I have "waited" for it, but what a cool surprise.posted to facebook and have been reading your blog.

    1. I hope you've been liking what I've posted.

By the way, I haven't heard from you yet, and I really need your name and address in order to send you your copy of Inherit My Heart. My email is anne@am-jenner.com.

    3. Apparently my post and your email crossed in the mail. For some odd reason my emails occasionally take a while to arrive, and I don't completely understany why that it.

I did (eventually) get your email, and your books, both of them, have now been mailed. I spent my lunch hour traipsing to the post office to mail books.

  3. My wife usually makes me wait anytime we have to do anything. Does that count? ;) I really like the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child, so waiting for the next of those... Hmmmm - longest wait... I'm not sure - I'll just go back to mentioning my wife and leave it there. ;)

On a side note Jam (Jenner, A. M.), what is the best way for someone to order your books? I know you have different methods, such as Amazon, but what is the best way for your benefit? I'm starting to think Christmas, which is early for me...

    1. I'm pleased and flattered that you would consider giving my books for Christmas gifts. Following a link from the book's page either from my website at www.am-jenner.com or from here on my blog to the CreateSpace store is my preferred method of purchase. I don't have all the books listed here yet, but they should be up shortly. In the mean time, they are all listed on my website.
