I am very much enjoying your blog tour and learning more about the processes of writing. I'm also learning why was never very good at fiction writing. I always took too much control over all the parts instead of letting them have their way
I think of myself as rather lazy when I follow my characters around and write down what they say and do, instead of making it up myself. For me, it is an approach that works. Just this morning I had an author friend express jealousy that my characters talk to me more than hers will talk to her. I smiled and asked her how often she listens to them.
I got a chance to go to England in 2007, and enjoyed my two weeks there very much. We did a lot of driving, and saw many things. One of the photos I took ended up on the front cover of The Siege of Kwennjurat. I think I need to go back and visit a lot more castles, if I keep writing fantasies. ;-)

ReplyDeleteOn a side note, I got my book today! I was so excited - thanks so much! And its much bigger than I thought too - I can't wait to read through it!
